Welcome to Heritage Christian Academy!
About Heritage Christian Academy
Heritage Christian Academy is an evangelical Christian school which educates children from Kindergarten Development class for four-year-olds through the high school grades. It is an extension of the Christian home and an outreach ministry of Grace Free Lutheran Church, formerly Medicine Lake Lutheran Church, to the Christian community (students from 90 different area churches attend this school). HCA provides a way to instill and maintain continuity of Biblical principles in young peoples' lives. The academy offers a Christ-centered environment in which to develop physically, spiritually, academically, and socially by using a traditional classroom setting. Students are taught self-discipline and individual responsibility in the areas of work habits and behavior. In addition, extracurricular activities are provided in the areas of art, choral music, orchestra, band, drama and speech, physical education, sports, art club, chess club, and field trips. The academy is known for an atmosphere of mutual love and respect among staff, parents, and students. We are truly an "Academy Family."
Heritage Christian Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.

Congratulations to HCA senior Hannah Peterson who has been appointed to the US Air Force Academy as a member of the Class of 2014. Hannah will join 1,500 of 10,000 applicants in participating in the officer training program, earning the equivalent to a scholarship valued at $414,000. Along with the rigorous application and interview processes, Hannah’s diverse background and experiences has helped to prepare her for entrance into the officer training program. As an honor student, top athlete, leader in student government, athletics and student discipleship, Hannah knows “what it takes” to persevere and succeed.

HCA 3rd graders Brittney Kuntz, Taylie Scott, Jace Pauli and Nick Latvala, are pictured with residents of New Hope’s Ambassador Good Samaritan Center. The students made the fleece pillows, and presented them as Thanksgiving gifts; they also entertained the residents with songs and stories. Ambassador Center is a favorite field trip destination for students and chaperones alike!
In Memory Of Miss H
Miss Lois Hautamaki, teacher, elementary principal and 25+ year member of the Heritage Christian Academy staff, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 14th. A service celebrating Miss H's life and her faith was held on Saturday, July 18th in the HCA gymnasium. The family has requested that memorials be directed to Heritage Christian Academy.
